Music

I was raised in a musical household. My father is a Tabla player by profession, so it was natural that I would be exposed to Tabla since a young age. When I was a toddler, I used to sleep in my father's lap while he was practicing daily in the quiet, serene early mornings in our home.

Once I started growing up, my father introduced me to Tabla. I was reluctant to learn at first, but as time went on, I started noticing the beauty of Indian Classical Music, especially the beauty and uniqueness of Laya-taal at the heart of it. Throughout my life, even when I lived in the dormitories of the university, I always had a Tabla pair with me.

During my high school days, I also started playing Cajon, a box-shaped instrument from Latin America, and since 2025 I have picked up playing Octapad, an electronic percussion instrument used for rhythm and SFX.

In 2024, I began my journey in music in a completely new place - Japan. I accompanied an Esraaj player in the Taiwan festival at Yoyogi Park in July. Soon after, I accompanied a senior Indian Classical vocalist who was visiting Japan. Because of these two opportunities, I got connected with fellow music enthusiasts in and around Tokyo. In 2025, I got associated with The Weekenders and got the opportunity to perform with them in October.

On this journey of music, I am open to connect, collaborate with musicians from different genres and backgrounds. If you'd like to get in touch, feel free to reach out here.
